HELLO, I AM REPOSTING THIS FOR MY SISTER WHO POSTED IT IN SEEKING DOCTOR. HOPING TO GET MORE ACTION HERE FOR HER.
HER USERNAME IS LAURAK

Hello all, newly registered. Two of my older sisters post on this, so I am pretty much going to give the same intro as one of them...I am a 23 yr old from Maryland but currently living in Denver, Colorado because I'm active duty Air Force. I have 3 sisters, ages 16, 29, and 31, all who have recently discovered have chronic lyme. Only 1 has had further testing so far and found she also has babesia and erlichiosis. We believe that we may all have lyme congenitally through our mother, who sadly passed away 3 yrs ago with multiple sclerosis at the young age of 46. She was always told she had something else too, but doctors didn't know what. We now think it was possibly lyme but, of course, we'll never know for sure. My symptoms have and continue to vary and, although it's hard to explain, it's almost hard to recognize them when you've had them most your life.

I am in desperate need of a lyme-literate doc in the area. Two primary care docs have pretty much wiped their hands clean of me and weren't "even sure" if I had lyme -- yet I came up positive on IGG 41 and 18 as well as positive on IGM 41 39 and 23 (yeah, ridiculous). I have seen two infectious disease specialists. One was a complete jerk and knew nothing about it and the other was a bit more sympathetic but said he knows nothing of lyme and would prefer me to see a doc "on the east coast who is familiar with the disease." That would be great if I was actually living there, but I am stuck here because of the Air Force.

According to ILADS site there are 2 LLMDs in the state, both in Colorado Springs. One was Dr. Martz who retired in July 2007. The other was an anesthesiologist. I called the office and the receptionist said, "he does not do that."

Any help/info would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

THANKS,
Laura

Hey Lauraloo, this is Big Sis Jackie!

You should space your paragraphs and sentences more.

Makes them easier to read!

I didn't know that in the beginning either.

Then I got in big trouble! haha

Love ya,
Jackie
