What was your doseage? How many times per day, days per week?
Are you, or did you take another abx along with IV Rocephin?
Just wondering. I've done 6 weeks, 2 grams, 2x per day, 7 days per week.
Have just been given 6 more weeks @ same doseage

ive been several times on rocephin. my best drug so far. the longest was for a year, finally pulsed. but always relapsed, which is also very common with rocephin. although i combined it with macrolide and plaqu. my llmd thinks its important to give 4g a day like you do.
good luck!

on IV Rocephin once 9 months no big changes until 7th month!!!!!!
have kept gains for 7+ years now!!)*!
(TRANSITION to orals and then don't go off until 2-3 months no symptoms!!! if you go straight off Rocephin you will most likely relapse!!)

I just started my first treatment of IV rocephin
for 28 days and have not noticed yet changes. My
diet (low glycemic) and getting on a better nausea
drug is what made the biggest impact so far. I am
taking 2 grams once a day. If this doesn't work..
I guess I we are going to start on a different IV
antibiotic after about ten days after this. I am
still having some MAJOR neurological problems and
wondering any recommendations on different
antibiotics... or should I stay on this and try
to take more of a dosage? Mix it with something
else?

I personally would stay on it because it worked wonderfully for me but not until the 7th month did I get major changes!!!

Hi I am also on 2g IV a day for 34 days and hoping to see a change. Many people said it took a few weeks so I am not giving up hope. I do wonder why I am on 2g if you all were on 4g?

I was just wondering if anyone had any
recommendations because of experience with being on
IV rocephin and having severe neurological problems
as I. Should I ask to go up in my dosage? Or try
another antibiotic with it?

I'm just finishing my sixth full month on Rocephin IV 2 grams per day. I can honestly say I felt no change till the last month. I have also been on Tindamax 500 mg every day for the six full months.
I've recently upped the Tindamax to 1000mg a day. I don't think the Rocephin kicked in for me till around the end of my fifth month. From what I've read it takes that long to start to feel a difference.

I do not feel any better yet either, but I kind of expected this.
As a matter of fact, my head sensations are daily and somewhat worse. I am not having electrical shocks anymore or tingling but these symptoms are not/ were not nearly as bothersome as the head stuff.
I need lots of quiet, dark rooms, and little social interaction in order to cope. Sometimes the head stuff makes me feel like I am about to die.
Really, I am wondering if perhaps I should be doing some Flagyl w/ the Rocephin. I have been reading a lot about Bartonella and my symptoms do lean towards this....and there is the cyst busting thing to consider.
Rocephin has been gentle on my gut.
I know that it is a long road, I am prepared to take it where it leads.
