For those of you inquiring about how to find out if you have the biotoxin gene (15-6-51) the one that doesn't allow your body to rid the Lyme die-off/biotoxins naturally, here's what you need to ask for:
"You can easily determine your unique genetic ability to remove Lyme's specific biotoxins by ordering a special 5-part HLA inherited gene marker test from LabCorp (test 012542), which is one of the largest labs in the United States".

It is my opinion that this test should always be done to determine the best possible treatment balance between killing interventions and detoxification interventions. The more impared a person's own detoxification systems are, the more they need to have specific items in their treatment program that help with removal of toxins.
This could also amount to the difference between those that herx and those than don't when taking antibiotics for treatment of Lyme.

IMPORTANT additional information on this testing:
Here's a quote in Public Health alert article from the Dr/author of Mold Warriors explaining AFTER you get the test results from LabCorp (in my post up above)
"Once the results of the HLA DR test are obtained, Dr. "Mold Warrior" provides an interpretation guide which maps the HLA DR combination to specific conditions which may be associated. For example, some combinations are susceptible to Lyme biotoxins while still others are susceptible to both mold and Lyme biotoxins in what is termed as a "multi-susceptible" genotype. If the HLA DR test results in a combination that suggests any of these, it is time to better understand the "Biotoxin Pathway" and possible treatment options. These options may result in significant relief."
Further along in the article he discusses the cholestyramine that I've posted about and another drug called Actos, that is supposed to ease the herxing of the ridding of the LYME biotoxins. My doc in FL only gave me the cholestyramine. I inquired about the Actos but he said it's very complicated and, if I could tolerate it, he wanted me only on the cholestyramine. Luckily, I have tolerated it.
If your LLMD is not "HLA DR-biotoxin-savvy", then I'd revist Dr. "Mold Warrior's" website
and see if you can somehow contact him or write him and ask for a recommendation for a Dr. somewhere near you.

Sorry, no clue about actual cost but I do know that Medicare covers all LabCorp & Igenex tests so it depends on your insurance.

I just had this test done... I believe it was around $450.00... my insurance will cover about 80% of it
