IS anybody familiar with a Lyme Disease Clinic that speacializes in not only antibiotics but incorparates nutritional IV's, Detox methods and physical and emotional counseling and training.

Am I only dreaming??? or what??

It's been almost 15 months now and I am somewhat frustrated with the aggressive treatment I have been on (IV for a year, Babesia treatment for almost 9 months, several other antibitoics) with the amount of physical pain I am in.

I never NEVER had this amount of pain prior to treatment.

I found a staph infection over a month ago and it's now culturing clean..hope this means it's gone!!

I have the money to go somewhere that does all the testing for metals, nutritional deficiencies and stuff like that.

Any advice?? I feel like the pharmacuticals are taking there toll on my and feel I have'nt improved enough with all the money and treatment I have done.

I feel like I am missing something. How come I am bedridden 14-15 months later when I started out running 25 miles a week in the begginning?

Please..someone help.

Jennifer

Maybe the treatment is too toxic for you and has suppressed your immune system. We are all individual and must listen to our bodies. I would be dead on a heavy treatment regimen like yours. Not all of us have the same ability to detox, and also, some of us are more vulnerable to fungal infections. Some may end up with serious fungal issues and others sail through without much problem.

There are alternate routes for you to take to start to restore your system. For instance, you could do hyperbaric without abx (heretical I know, but I did it and do it). You could do IVIG to repair your immune system (Dr Younger is investigating it now at NYU). You could go to Patricia Kane's very expensive clinic. She uses IV glutathione, IV phospholipids, and IV leucovorin I think. These repair detox pathways and the cell membrane. Perhaps she brags a bit too much about her results, but she does get some good results. It's in Pennsylvania.

I heard IVIG is the new "thing" -- if one can afford it; it's hideously expensive since it's a blood product.

There is also this clinic just over the border in Mexico that is doing what you just mentioned.....detox/nutrition/chiro/massage/counseling/acupuncture....I don't think it's specific to Lyme but deals with all kinds of chronic illnesses.....I met a woman in my LLMDs waiting room who said she was cured of throat cancer by going there. They advertise in Alternative Medicine magazine, I can't remember the name....Sanova? San something.

Here is the website for the alternative clinic in Mexico:

www.sanoviv.com

If you go, let us know how it went. Some people posted about this place several years ago but I haven't heard anything else. Also, someone posted about it at healingwell.com about six months ago (?).

I contacted Sanoviv about Lyme two years ago before we found an LLMD for my daughter. They didn't seem to know ANYTHING about Lyme at the time, at least from the phone calls and emails I had with them. Then, about a year ago, they added something about Lyme to their website. I was skeptical about the level of experience they could bring to it.

That said, I gather they are quite knowledgeable about detoxification, nutrition, heavy metals, etc., which in recent months I have come to believe play a much larger role in all of this than has been recognized in the past. So that's something in their favor.

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone with direct experience with Sanoviv for tick-borne illness.
