A week ago I entered hell. Suddenly I started having these terrible, excruciating pains all over the body. I dont even know if they are nerve pains or what, they feel deep inside like they were in the bones. I have it mostly in limbs, especially in thighs. For some reason they are worst in the evening and night. Anyone else with this and has anything helped?

Yes, I experience that a lot, much of the time, but it does get much much worse at night.
Some weeks are worse than others. Last night was unbearable, didn't get much sleep.

Hi, I get them bad as 'shin splints', but also in thighs and arms, sometimes elsewhere. Sometimes they feel like they're in the muscles, other times like ache or even fire in the marrow or joint. Bartonella is supposed to get in blood cells and even bone marrow, which could explain why we're getting these pains, but I've never been dx with Bart, only Lyme & Ehrlichia!

Yes, oh yes. Know the bone pain. I used to have worst of three types of pain in my bones. They were muscle pain, bone pain and arthritic pain in joints (knee, ankles, wrist, back).
I've read/heard and learned with lots of research that bartonella causes pain in the long bones in arms and legs, like the shin bone etc. Bone pain is one of the three that is least eased by tramadol. Usually this is a detox bath in epsom salt, morning and night to relieve somewhat for a few hour.
What I've always referred to muscle pain is an aching all over feeling, worse in limbs. My Russian massage lady that has been doing body work on me for about 4 yrs, says it's actually connective tissue and toxins running throughout my major organs. Organs not happy, makes for connective tissue disorders and pain/achiness. ?????
What I believe to be bartonella and bone pain, had calmed down for several months. My bart sx seemed to turn to more GI issues. Now that I've had more tick bites and spider bites in the last 2 yrs, every month seems to be prominate bart sx.
Nerve pain seems to me to be more neuro stuff like sharp stinging, restless legs type, sparklike that happens in the middle of the night in both my arms and legs. I'm still trying to figure that one out.
Neuro/night pains only happen maybe once a month, if that some months. I've been on good mag for several months. I'm going for results on 12 blood tests Monday. Defiecentsies (sp), bart, rickettsia etc.
I had to sign a piece of paper saying I understood that Medicare might not pay for bart testing due to it being experimental. Experimental my rear. I'll fight that battle with them.

My heart goes out to you since I can definitely relate. My horror was probably about a week and 1/2 ago with the bone pain. So much, that even just walking on my feet had the bones feel like they were sticking out and I couldn't move.
It hurts like a son of a gun and I was trying everything. The warm epsom salt baths helped while in the tub but it would come back shortly after getting out.
I'd love to hear what others do, but I am assuming in my case it was more herxing since that phase has passed and I'm on to other insanity going on with crazy symptoms.
Hopefully it will settle down soon, but because it is NOT fun.

DEEP BONE PAIN can be caused by
EHRLICHIOSIS aka ANAPLASMOSIS
which is often seronegative even in acute FATAL cases! SO IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN ON HIGH DOSE DOXY FOR 3 MONTHS, SHOW YOUR DOCTOR THIS ABSTRACT and tell them it's not worth the risk!!! Any Lyme patient should always be treated for Ehrclihiosis in my non-doctorly opinion!!

In the United States, human ehrlichiosis is a complex of emerging tick-borne diseases caused by 3 distinct Ehrlichia species: Ehrlichia chaffeensis, Ehrlichia ewingii, and the human granulocytotropic ehrlichiosis agent. Ehrlichioses are characterized by a mild to severe illness, and approximately 4% of cases are fatal. Because these obligate intracellular bacteria are difficult to resolve with routine histologic techniques, their distribution in tissues has not been well described. To facilitate the visualization and detection of ehrlichiae, immunohistochemistry (IHC), in situ hybridization (ISH), and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assays were developed by use of tissues from 4 fatal cases of E. chaffeensis infection. Evidence of E.chaffeensis via IHC, ISH, and PCR was documented in all 4 cases. Abundant immunostaining and in situ nucleic acid hybridization were observed in spleen and lymph node from all 4 patients.
Significantly, in 2 of these patients, serologic evidence of infection was absent.
Use of IHC, ISH, and PCR to visualize and detect Ehrlichia in tissues can facilitate diagnosis of ehrlichial infections.

Ehrlichiosis invades the bone marrow.
And not only is there scientific evidence to support that, but when I had HME Ehrlcihiosis I had agonzing deep bone pain which all went away with Doxy-
