Daughter tested Igenex positive for Lyme (IGM) 31++++ along with other bands.
Ped. doesn't believe in Igenex.
We have LLMD diagnosis but he won't treat her without pediatrician signing letter of acknowledgement.
I need to give her something while I look for doctor. She is very symptomatic.
How about cat's claw?
Any ideas?
I need to give her something until I figure this out. She is stressing because she wants the bacteria out of her body.
I feel that if there were something I could give her now it might help ease her mind for now and also help with the symptoms - mostly joint, muscle and bone pain.
Thanks.

I have never heard of this, that another doctor must sign for the Lyme patient to receive help.
Maybe you need a different LLMD - most that I am aware allow self referral, knowing that mainstream Md's don't understand this disease.
PM me if you want to know of other possible LLMD's in your area.
This is sad and ridiculous when someone needs help - so sorry this is happening to your "baby".

I also have a child with lyme and tried cats claw two years ago. It didn't seem to do much of anything for either of us so I personally don't think its worth taking. Others seem to have different opinions. Not everything works for everyone with this disease. I'll send you a PM of a very good ILADS doc that treats children.

Lymebytes,
The LLMD we see was just invistigated and disciplined in NC and recently opened new practice in SC. I think that is why he wants to be careful with pediatric patients.
I can kind of understand, but am frustrated.
I will go to a different LLMD (who treats children if I can find one).
Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate the input!
