I am posting for a friend of mine, a nurse, who has been very ill with Lyme and co-infections for many years. She has been through the battles like most of you...finding a diagnosis, getting treatment....you know the drill.
Finally, she used Fry Labs for some bloodwork and she tested positive for bartonella (don't know what strain). They sent her the photographs too - nothing beats reliable visual microscopy! I hope this technology helps many other patients. There was another post I commented on a few weeks ago that had some very detailed slides from a patient's daughter...lost it now. In the meantime, see http://www.frylabs.com/photos.html
I sifted through the topics to see what other patients with Bartonella have used for antibiotics; there seems to be a few. Any comments on which type or combo seems to be the most effective?
Thanks.

The combo of Rifampin/Doxy/Zithromax (or Biaxin) seems to be used by some LLMDs & there is also Levaquin.

Thanks you two. Good gosh, I am sifting through the posts since I posted (it's so sad there are so many sick people) and zillions of patients seem to have Bartonella. But the treatment & outcomes are so variable -- how sad and absurd in this day and age.
I'd like to find the top experts in Bart (patients or docs) that can help my friend. Pls post or PM me if you have any information! If I learn anything that helps her, I will come back to post.

I love Fry Labs and also got a positive for Bartonella from them.
I'm treating Lyme and Bartonella with Rifampin/Doxy/Biaxin.

Surely, this lab has to test these coccobacilli bacteria to determine if they're in fact Bartonella spp. I mean there are other bacteria that are coccobacilli. Is the Bartonella bacteria highly unique compared to other coccobacilli where only a visual is good enough?
