I have been on abx for 1 1/2 years since being diagnosed. I had never had a lot of joint or muscle pain mostly headaches, brain fog, GI issues and extreme fatigue. About 3 or 4 months ago I started having joint and muscle pain mostly in kees, hips, wrists and elbows. It really surprised me. I thought I had dodged that bullet. It comes and goes and recently I have had pain in my upper arms, shoulders, neck and shoulders. I wouldn't say it is unbearable (my pain scale has changed considerably since having Lyme.)but it does interfere with sleep and I just ache all the time. Any comments? Is it unusual to develope these symptoms after being on abx this long?

Sounds to me like you may have congested lymph in your neck and arm pits from clearing out so many toxins.

You might want to see a massage therapist for manual lymph drainage. Gentle full movement exercise helps drain lymph as well.

If it lasts, taking Zanaflex could help reduce muscle aches. It's been a miracle for me.

Renny,

There's one thing you really have to know about lyme(tbd's) nothing is usual or impossible. You'll be experiencing new and different things probably monthly from now on.

The recent symptoms of joint pain are all at the most traumatized areas of your body. The larger joints, weight bareing joints. The TBD's like these areas most for some reason.

I would'nt be too surprized as you journey thru these diseases when new and different symptoms come out of nowhere. This is common, it happens to most of us. Especially if your diseases have gone up the CSF and entered your brain and is now interfereing with the synaptic conversations between your brain and nerve systems(all of them).
