well, i guess i'm finally getting what mike has. he's been really sick with cough, chest pain, and sneezing. no fever tho.

now i've started getting a very sore chest, cough, and headache. i really don't need this and i'm terrified of getting the flu when i have lyme.

i started taking zi-cam today and i hope it helps.

so what has helped you the most when you get the flu???

if no drug drug interactions tamiflu works great asap though. They use symmetrel for lyme, got any around the house? Its meant for the flu, but not as good as tamiflu.

Tammiflu is great...
If you can't get it by prescription, the Chinese remedy, Yin Chiao is very helpful..It takes away the miseries until you can heal fully...surely helps me..

Rub Clove Oil on your chest and the bottom of your feet every 3 hours. It will help draw out the toxins and nasty germs.

If you can't find it anyway, you can get it here:

www.youngliving.com

Thieves is the blended oil they have (that has a few other antibacterial/viral things in it). I never leave home without it, and keep a spray version in my purse at all times (for all those nasty doorknobs and in public places).

On the rare occasions I catch a cold, I use Zicam, a homeopathic remedy in pill form, and visit my acupuncturist. Not sure how/why acupuncture works, but it does, for me. And the treatments lessen my pain.

Hope you get better soon,

Kate

On the up side, maybe it means you're getting better? As most lymies don't get sick with flu or colds until the lyme is letting up somewhat, etc.

Of course this isn't a FACT, but a lot of us believe it and my LLMD has also commented/talked about it.

Interesting....last March I had the flu, and since then I've been better Lyme-wise!! Right now I am sick for the first time since then....maybe this is a good thing!

I had a bad cold or flu last month. What really helped me was hitting it with anything I could think of. All I ate was chicken or turkey soup (fortunately had someone make it for me); additional garlic, increased Vit C, ginger; I tried that Umcka (sp) Cold Care that is sold in many supermarkets; drank continuous fluids, and rest. I got better pretty quickly once the fever broke.

Hope you feel better soon.

I stop colds and flu that my grandsons love to share with us.....with my rife machine. As soon as I have the first sign, and my husband has learned not to wait until it's full force, we run the rife machine.

If it's a strong virus, 30 minutes will knock out sx for about 8 hrs. Then the virus starts coming alive again. I run the rife again.

I usually run it morning and evening 2-3 days according to how we respond. If we continue with any chest or head cold sx after three days, I switch to sinus/staph/strep freqencies.

My rife machine is used for many things in my home. I love it.

Pam
