I realize this is quite a touchy subject,,,so PM'ing me IF your more comfy would be appreciated.

Since I have NO insurance, and no real doc, AND not too much money,,,BUT pretty darn positive I DO have bart.

Does anyone have ANY sources of abx without a RX?? Specificly azithromycin and Rifampin (OR anything else GOOD for bart)

I do have loose tendons NOW so trying to stay away from the tendon problem drugs!!(BUT not positively ruled out)

I am 'thinking' I should stock pile at least 3 months before I start to ensure I dont run out too soon and rebound!!

Thats what my former insurance company did to me!!

I live in such a remote place,,,shoping for a doc to treat seems counterproductive since they probably wouldnt treat LONG and HARD enough anyway!!

I have considered this a LONG time,,,and this is the way I want to go,,,for now!! I know the risks,I know the pitfalls!! I am a big boy and wish to wander alone!!

Related question,,,is overseas drugs safe and as effective as USA drugs?? Potency as good or bad???

Anyone with either GOOD or BAD experiences or 'sources' PLEASE let me know!! being --just don--

I'll PM you a place.

Have ordered other things thru them since I too am uninsured. Takes a couple weeks but price wise, well worth the wait.

Maybe these are not on the list of drugs you want, but if you google "fish antibiotics" you will find doxy, tetra, amoxocillin, flagyl,
and others inexpensive and without a script.
They are safe and efective and you'll be able to swim better too.

It is what I would do if I didn't have a doctor!

* feed stores- tell them you have a goat that weighs as much as you do!!!
* animal abx from online
* abx from sympathetic Lymies who didn't use them
* abx from online places, don't know which ones myself
* abx bought by friends or relatives in Mexico or India where they can be bought over-the-counter

Do vetrinary antibiotics (for pet fish, pet iguanas, birds, goats, etc.) have the same efficacy and safety as the equivalent human formulations?

Farm and fleet sells bags of abx for cows and chickens...yeah the same abx for you, most likely from the same production line.
BTW, MANY US. Rx's USE imported drugs...you just dont know they do. It was on the news the other night.

My guess is that the fish ABX are made in the same production facilities as human generics.
They come in the same capsule forms, and it seems unlikely that there are seperate production facilities for fish ABX.

We have a member here who's a vet's wife. (naturally my lyme-brain can't recall her name!) When this topic has come up before, she has contributed by telling us the meds are exactly the same as human-grade and subject to the same strict requirements. If she reads this, THANK you!!
