Okay for awhile I had a small amount of naseua now it's beyond belief and pretty much killing me. I have practically doubled over in pain... They sad amox is usually easy on the stomach and this is the first time I have ever had this type of reaction! What is causing it? It is absolutely horrific! I have no idea what to do? Does anyone have any ideas on how to make it go away? It's very bothersome... Yes, I have tried nausea meds, no relief yet and I do take double the dose of the probotics... My doctor suggested due to my weakening stomach. The pain is in my abdominal cavity all over more towards the top though than the bottom.

Thanks in advance

How awful! Have you been checked for an ulcer?

What about something like an acid reducer like Zantac?

The reason I ask is I've had pain in my upper stomach before and I believe it was the start of an ulcer. Taking Zantac for a couple weeks helped a lot.

Not sure if that would cause all the nausea. I assume you are eating something before taking the amoxi?

How high a dose are you taking at a time?

Have you tried not taking the amoxi for a couple days to see if the stomach thing clears up?

Does it get worse when you eat?

I have gastroparesis - which is delayed stomach emptying - so the food sits in my stomach longer than it should. This does not make the stomach very happy. I have had both nausea and pain from it. Once it gets so bad then I start vomiting too.

Gallbladder can also also cause pain and nausea. (That is why I dont have mine anymore [Smile] )
This is just my expereinces though.

I hope you find some answers very soon [group hug]

Are you taking Saccharomyces Boulardii??
You can get it at any health food store and it eats ___candida___ and ___c. difficile___ which is the abx related diarrhea which can be lethal if untreated-

If you aren't taking it, I would add it to your repetoire of probiotics!!!!

Sorry to hear re your tummy!!! NO FUN!!!
Sincerely,
Sarah
