A few days after I started doxy I got two SVERER panic attacks. I had not had one for months prior. They just suck. I noticed my heart rate has stayed elevated as well over the past few weeks.
I had my follow up today with my LLMD and my heart was pounding away so he wants me to go see an electrophysiologist. He was uncomfortable to give me a beta blocker so he gave me Xanax.
I have already had a FULL cardiac work up in the past 10 months. EP study, X Ray, Echo, Arty ultrasound of my legs, holter monitor in the hospital for 3 days, stress trest. ALL NORMAL.
They gave me some crap diagnosis of hyper-beta andrlik syndrome. They gave me a beta blocker but I stopped it after a few months because it gave me bad headaches. My heart rate seem fine without it.
I left with, ``you have a healthy heart''. I do have MVP with regerge but they say that is not the cause.
Every time the tachycardia comes on I tell myself ``I'm fine, I'm fine. The Dr said I was fine.''
SO do you all think this is a harmless herx or could the antibiotics killing off the germs have done more harm.
Given the fact I have had a full workup with no problems I am in no rush to go to the ER.

That is the magic question isnt it!!! I too have had the tach and major palps...and I find myself saying the same thing

Mantras I would rather not have in my back pocket to get me through at times but necessary!
Mine turned out to be "electrical" in nature which I find so fascinating after being dx with Lyme and hearing the electrical issues for it was prior to dx that I was told this!
however I dont believe that the heart is anything we should play around with either. If you feel ok enough to get an appt and go see someone then follow your gut but if you are
concerned dont mess around!!! We want you here!!!!!

You say they have done every test which has came back normal? There is one test that hasn't been done, a cardiac cath.
I had a heart attack 11/11/06 at the age of 38. I complained for over two years of chest pains and palps. All my test came back normal, but they did find that I have a MVP with regerge.
When I had my heart attack I had a complete blockage of my RCA - right corn. artery, which a stint was put in and I still have a 30% blockage in my LCA.
bite by a tick in 2001 - heart attak in 06 - and finally diagnosed with lyme in december 2007. No family history of heart problems (my brother got paranoid and thought he was having a heart attack and had a cardiac cath. his heart is fine, no attack, and no issues from having the cardiac cath.) no diabties, and only weigh 138 lbs.
So just a suggestion - Cardaic Cath.

I believe the cardiac cath is the same as the EP study I had. They in the groin and up to the heart and ablate if they can. Well they couldn't.
I woke up crying, "you didn't fix me, you didn't fix me."
That was in April.
So what do you think?

What they did to me was - they went into the main arty from the groin in my right leg up into my heart, injected dye to see if I had any blockages or any damage done by the heart attack.
They seen that I had a complete blockage in the right coranary artry, with veins going around the blockage to feed the lower part of my heart, so it was blocked for a while, they did angoplasty to remove the blockage and put in a stint. They also seen the blockage in the LCA, but anything less than 70% blockage they won't touch, so its still there.
I was awake for the whole thing - they don't put you to sleep for the card. cath, because they have you hold your breath, and breath - you have to follow instructions while its being done.
I am taking about 10 different types of meds, just for the heart.
Can't wait till they add the med for treatment for lyme.

Search Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia.
I have this and take florinef for it.
I have had numerous heart tests done including a nuclear stress test
Only to be told my heart was perfect (Thank you God).
Still had these episodes of low blood pressure (60/40) and
Heart racing, extra beats, skipping beats, etc.
This has greatly improved on florinef.
I think my lingering problems with this may be babesia.
You may want to talk to your doctor about both.

I had a cardiac cath done this past July. I was only 40 but with a high BP history and family history. My arteries were clear but the chest pain continued. I'm not sure how much if any damage is done while suffering for years with chest pain. It can't be good for you.

Have you considered that your blockages could be due to inflammation of the arteriol walls? This chronic inflammation can be caused by cell-wall-deficient bacteria. We all accumulate such bacteria over time but the exact mix determines our symptoms. Infection with borellia (Lyme) greatly adds to this "DNA soup." In my opinion inflammation from chronic infection due to CWD bacteria explains cases such as yours very well.

If you are taking high doses of bacteriocidal antibiotics, you might want to consider that such therapies can actually CREATE organisms that are more difficult to get rid of. These cell-wall-deficient "bacteria" can cause all sorts of inflammation that might be affecting your heart.
Also, when any bacteria are killed, chemicals called cytokines are released. These chemicals make you feel ill (i.e., herx) & can certainly cause the symptoms you describe.
As an endurance althlete, my heart-related symptoms were primarily why I did not give up searching for the root cause of my illness. After many failures on other treatments, Marshall Protocol is the only treatment that eliminated these symptoms. It is also the only treatment I've seen based on science that also agrees with with modern moleculor biology.
