i know this is a symptom of lyme... and i have this constantly... but what the heck is making my head and neck pop. if i just sit down and relax my muscles, it sounds like I'm popping popcorn inside my head.

it kind of drives me crazy... does stretching help?

TIA

Crepitation, or creaking, cracking, and popping is a symptom of Lyme. I used to get aching in the back of my neck, too. My neck still is a little stiff.

Lyme likes to live in collagen tissue. It just settled in your neck. My outer ears sometimes hurt, too.

I have named mine the "snap, crackle, pop" syndrome. [Big Grin]

Everytime I turn my head I have this.

My ears hurt too, especially at night.

Hi everyone!!

Snap crackle pop in my neck and head remain my primary symptom. Are you sure its lyme and not bart or babesia??

I ask because this problem developed during aggressive lyme treatment. Did the organisms sequester themselves in the collogen tissues of my neck and head?

According to what I've been told, the snap, crackle pop is inflammation. I get it in my knees and neck especially but also in my shoulder blades and other places as well.

Mine gets particularly bad with abx. When bugs die, they can be in the tissues and are hard to clear. They may cause inflammation. They will die at some point whether you are abx or not because of their natural life cycle.

I take serraflazyme and rutin for inflammation and digestive enzymes between meals to clear the debri. Some people feel that quercitin is a good anti-inflammatory.
