Anyone familiar with NT Factor or Propax or like products?
I understand they are supposed to increase energy by repairing mitochondrial DNA.
Is this true???
Anyone have good or bad experiences?

upping my own post.
anybody believe supporting the mitochondria helps healing?
I'm wondering if I should add yet more stuff to my arsenal.

Hi Cotton Brain, I started taking NT factor on the recommendation of Dr B for about a year and a half to two years and yes I think it has made a world of difference in my fatigue level and cognitive function.
I had stopped it for awhile because I was feeling so much better, and it's not exactly cheap, but within a few weeks I noticed a drop in my energy level.
All of the different supplements that are recommended are very expensive so I have to pick and choose the ones that I feel are most important. NT factor and Host Defense are staples for me.
I hope you have good results as well.

NT Factor and Host Defense are staples for me, too. My LLMD recommended them both.

Thanks, Terry

Those are actually brand names ..... NT Factor is the brand name, Host Defense I believe is by New Chapter.
You can only get the NT Factor full strength through a doctor.

Thanks for the info! I've heard of NT factor but not the Host Defense -- will check it out right away.
Since I started the Buhner protocol I have been in a serious fog -- I noticed in his book that one of his core herbs (maybe andrographis, i can't remember) has sedative effects.
I can't tell if it's the herbs or what...but boy am i glued to the sofa!
On another board someone posted about Extra Energy Enzymes for post exertional malaise. Do you have any idea how it compares to NT Factor and Host Defense?

Does anyone know if there is a lipid replacement therapy like NT Factor that does the same thing but is cheaper?
I looked at the Host Defense, a mushroom product -- I wonder if it is ok to take mushroom products if you have autoimmune symptoms like Hahimoto's Thyroiditis?
I am curious because I used to take coriolus and Reishi mushrooms and quit taking them because my LLMD said he thought that it was not a good idea to take immune modulators, as he was not sure how they might affect Lyme.
I wonder if my drop in energy coould be related to stopping the mushrooms two months ago?
