My insurance Aetna will not pay for labcorp testing anymore, so I have to use Quest. Dr. S of MD recommends a 5 part HLA test that labcorp performs regarding how your body is able to remove biotoxins. I was wondering if anyone knew if Quest performed a similiar test?
thanks, Maureen

i tried to find this on Quest's website, but couldn't find a test similiar, just the HLA-DR4 test, but not the one Dr. S recommends regarding biotoxins.

Labcorp has the 5 part. Quest has a 3 part. I did the LC test and am glad I did. I don't know the difference between the two - but it would seem that the LC 5-part has more info? Would be a shame to miss anything.
FWIW you could order the test through www.privatemdlabs.com - and they use LC. No doctor visit. No insurance. I think the cost is around $300 - which is less than LC's "street" price.
To add: it is the DRB DQB Disease Association test. PMDLabs is very easy to work with/use. I think they offer a 10 pct discount when tests ordered online and a few simple questions answered.
FWIW I remember the tests as "running back" and "quarterback" for the letters following "D" ie RB and QB.
