I have been reading about Essiac Tea. Some sites suggest that it is only good if used within 24 hrs of brewing.
Anyone know about it? If so, I am interested.
Thanks

BJG, it has been a number of years ago but I brewed up maybe 3 batches of Essiac Tea. I remember storing some in the refrigerator and no matter what I did - following all the instructions for preparation to the letter - the brew still `went bad' in a very short period of time.
So, while it may be `good' a little longer than 24 hours, I think what you are reading may be true.
A friend of mine is a Nature's Sunshine distributor - NS are very high-quality herbs and supplements. Nature's Sunshine makes a product called ``E-Tea'' which is all of the Essiac Tea herbs in capsule form. I took those periodically instead of trying to fuss with making that pesky tea.
Nature's Sunshine is not normally found in stores UNLESS the owner happens to be a distributor. So, it's always best to call first if you want this particular product. There may be other products out there at this point, too....
