It seemed to help with some symptoms and not others. I am assuming that is because there is a mix of germs, not all of which are known. It helped me, in combination with zithromax, with a nearly disabling lower back problem. These two drugs are rather similar in action and not usually used together. But I have heard of other people who were not helped by it. So, as usual, it is a crapshot as to whether any particular drug or combo will help any particular patient.

Sorry to say it didn't work for me. Perhaps a little bit but just bearly noticable.
It is like every other therapy what works for one doesn't work for everyone else.
I hope it helps you. Good luck!

Hey Dawn,
I began IV Cleocin about 7 months into treatment. At the time, it was combined with IV Rocephin and then IV Zith.
I stayed on it several months. It was certainly tuff going at first; I had to stop and restart several times in order to tolerate it.
I remember while infusing, I would become very sleepy and cold. C. diff is known to be an issue with Cleocin in particular, so be alert of that possibility.
Overall, I think it helped.
My best, melanie

Thanks guys for your replies. I'm thinking about doing it, per LLMD, but the first PICC I had gave me 3 blood clots, a year of warfarin, and several scary ER visits. I'm weary about having another PICC unless the drug being infused is a real fine bang-fire one. Will for sure talk to the doc more before deciding to do it. Your input was much appreciated!

Hi, I did IV Clindamycin and thought it was great. Had u huge Herx, but had to halt treatment after 6 weeks due to liver problems. I combined it with IV Flagyl 3 days a week. Very good. Don't know though wether it's hittng bart or lyme? Or both?
