Now I had Rocky Mtn Spotted Fever in Aug 2006 and two Western Blots that came back positive for b. burgdorferi. I have had three very painful spinal taps in the last four months that came back negative for everything. I am no longer looking to do anymore spinal taps. But, I am now questioning that perhaps in 2006 that I had RMSF, b. burgdorferi, and now bartonella henselae from the last posts Clarissa and minoucat left. Is this possible? Could I had all three? I have been tested SO MUCH for HGE, HME, and relapsing fever (these are more prominent in the Nashville, TN area), and all three keep coming back negative before antibiotic regime. Thank you all for answering!

Spinal taps aren't good tests looking for bb.
I wouldn't have one done.
I don't see why you couldn't have all those infections and maybe more.
Nobody knows for sure what bacterial cocktail each tick is carrying.

I would try Fry Labs for Babesia and Bartonella tests. Get the blood smear AND the antibodies tests.
