This is a loaded question I suppose but does anyone know how long it might take for PMS symptoms to improve with Lyme treatment?

I have been supplementing with progesterone since September. I just did testing to check my levels. I get horrible agitation (could be from bartonella and/or PMS. I also get very tearful and my insomnia gets a lot worse too before my period.

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if their PMS is improving? Is it even PMS or is it the bacteria? I'm so confused.

My pms is improving with Bart treatment (into my 5th month now).

I'm supposed to start progesterone & testosterone very soon. I'm just very careful about adding one new variable at a time.

PMS improvements:
It doesn't last for 2 weeks

I only feel weepy/rage (Jekyl/Hyde) a few days before (instead of from ovulation...until menses)

I'm getting cramps for the first time(which I never got b4 but I feel like it's more "normal")

This is my WORST symptom so I hope the hormone supplements, along with continued Bart treatment will help continue the improvement.

Best,

Thanks for replying Clarissa. The agitation/rage is horrible! I hate it. I haven't done bart treatment yet. I really hope the hormone supplements help you.

I take Progestin (female hormone) and it has done wonders for me. No hot flashes, no PMS, and best of all - no period! Dr. says I have not yet gone through menopause and I don't dare get off these because I do NOT want to have periods again. I am 54.
