I was reading the Nutramedix product descriptions and found Condura. It says it is used for "pain relief, an anti-inflammatory and an analgesic".
Has anyone used this for the horrible pain associated with Lyme/its co-infections and herxing?
If you have, what were your experiences with it? Advice? Dosages?
Did you ramp up with it? Did you take it with other herbs and meds?
I am in no way associated with these products - just looking to help my son, as always. Thanks.

I didn't get any responses to my post so far, but really need to know if anyone out there knows about this product or has used it.
I have started my son on Burbur and Parsley from Nutramedix for detox (no, my son is not on the Cowden protocol), but still need relief for his horrible chronic pain (over 2 yrs.!). Can they all be taken together?
Thanks.

check on the Nutramedix.cc site where they have acompatibility chart for the Nutramedix herbs. I haven't used condura, but I think Dr. Lee Cowden has a website at nutrx.net. You may get some answers there.

According to the NutraMedix product compatibility chart, condura, burbur, and parsley are compatible to take in the same glass of water.
My husband, who has severe tendon pain, was not helped by it. However, it works great for my headaches. Hope this helps.

I do take Cumanda, Parsley & Burbur. Haven't tried Condura.
I do also take vicodin & oxycontin for pain.
I've started to realize that my pain might be neuro related. My doctor suggested Cymbalta. I'm still a bit hesitant to get into SSRIs & stuff. I don't have a problem with opiates.
I haven't had any problems mixing the herbs with drugs. I don't take abx, though.
Hope this helps...

Thanks everyone for your input. I would still like to hear more from others who have tried Condura and found pain relief.
Right now son seems to be going through a major herx for the past month or so (i.e. increase in pain and he feels tired 3-4 hours after waking...whenever that is, since his sleep is all over the place as a result of no regular sleep pattern).

Hi There,
I have taken Condura and been on the full Cowden protocol.
I didn't find that the protocol helped-- in fact, I felt so bad I had to stop after a few months.
I didn't find that the Condura helped.
I too have to use Ocycodone and Hydrocodone for pain.
Best of luck with your son.

Have you tried saunas or far infra red saunas. It helps me quite a bit. Also, bathing in epsom salt.
Some people say drinking water with fresh lemon juice also helps.

Sparkle 7 - Thanks for replying. We haven't tried the FIR saunas yet.
Epsom salt baths increase the pain and the lemon water produces more acid in his stomach.

During an extended Herxheimer reaction, my "magic bullet" has always been to pull back on treatment temorarily until the symptoms settle down, and then I return to treatment again at the same dose as before.
