I had iritis in October. Now I am losing pigment in my iris. My doctor calls it "iris atrophy" and says it could be from Lyme disease. So she ordered the western blot test and it came back positive. Does anyone know what this iris atrophy thing is? Has anyone had this problem since being diagnosed with Lyme? I am still trying to find a Lyme doctor meanwhile I am afraid my eye will get worse.

What do you mean by losing pigment? My eyes used to be hit-you-in-the-face green, but now they are a dull blue - not bright like they used to be, and not anywhere near as green.

I also had problems with deep copper-brown blotches, which looked really pretty actually. I took EDTA and most of them disappeared. Now I just have light gold rings around both pupils instead, and only a small amount of deep copper-brown in my right eye.

I have a hunch the copper-brown splotches are oxidized iron:

Sorry the link you gave me did not work. I have brown eyes and I have a spot on my iris that is lighter brown, I guess you could call it copper in color. What is EDTA?
