if a combo of antibiotics works miraculously well for you, how long do you give those same antibiotics to resolve all symptoms? or when do you begin to accept that they have taken you as far as they can go?
in my case this question is bartonella specific.
80-85% of my symptoms resolved in about 2 months with bactrim/zithromax.
now i am on bactrim/doxy/zithromax (twice a week) and things seem to be leveling off. (although they seemed to be leveling off even before the slight change in my antibiotic regime)
do you think i should i stick with this general combo long term (since i have proof that it drastically helped me), or consider something that i have never tried before?
thanks

My LLMd usually moves out one antibiotic every three 4 months and moves another in then the following month moves the abx out and a new one in.

My LLMD would most likely try another abx that would hit the same bug.
I was on Levaquin + others for bart and had miraculous improvement. After 12 weeks he switched me to Rifampin + others. By that point I was so much better though, that the Rifampin was like taking a sugar pill.
But the idea was to see if there was still bart there that another drug might reach.
I'd want to switch it around .... you can always go back.
