I have a question about Bb and it's effects on us.
I think I read here or in one of the thousands of pages of lyme lit. supplied through this site that these bugs will go after so called "weak spots", or us when we are somehow weakened in our system.
Can anyone respond to this if you can understand the question?
I had microscopic surgery last June for a herniated disc at L4-L5, it should have been a rather quick rehab and return to work but ended up as anything but.
My foot that had been infected in 2005 went into a gout-like frenzy; there is foreign body in there. It was from stepping on a toothpick back then. I need surgery btw to get that out. But it really only flared after the surgery.
My fibro type symptoms went crazy as did all of the cognitive ones.
Everything went haywire it seemed systemically, but there was no LLMD or LymeNet in my life then.
Any input anybody? Thank you in advance
Until that day

I really think there's truth to that.
My jaw was misaligned structurally and when I had a Lyme flare, I would have severe jaw pain. I had my TMJ issues fixed (splint and braces over a two year period), and now it's fine. My jaw really had a real problem on its own, but it seemed that the Lyme aggravated it.
Also, I have a scar behind my knee on one leg .... I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but that's the only knee that bothers me with the Lyme.
Before treatment, whenever I'd have any type of stress -- mental stress or illness -- my Lyme symptoms would flare. That seems like what you're describing with the foot surgery.
I do think the bacteria takes advantage of our weak spots.

Dr Cowden has theories about this regarding old injuries, traumas, etc...
Scott Forsgren "the health guy" wrote an article with this info recently in the Public Health Alert newspaper.
