It might be yeast. Or maybe your antibiotic(s?) are being too harsh on your stomach.
Good luck! Posted by Beverly (Member # 1271) on :
Hi Mimi,
When I am taking a lot of stuff to kill yeast I get a right sided pain. I hope you figure out exactly what it is and feel better soon.

mimi,
Gallbladder symptoms are not always typical. My stepmother's gallbladder attacks were severe back pain, nothing in the front.
It can also be liver, pancreas or diaphragm causing pain in that location. I know, not very specific.

That IS a "typical" symptom of gallbladder problems.

This has been one of my main symptoms. Doc says it is a form of nueropathy. I have both Lyme and Babs
But I think its wise to have your gall bladder checked and cehck for yeast.
I had EVERY possible GI test done, plus ultrasound and nuclear test for my gallbladder, everything is fine. No yeast problems either

Hi - I would rule out gallbladder also -
My daughter and I experience this pain - it can be very intense. I could be a neuropathy as someone mentioned.
Or it can be what we suspect - the spirochete likes connective tissue called fascia. Our PT explained this to us (she and her family all have or have had lyme) and this connective tissue wraps around the rib cage. She uses gentle manipulation along the ribs and it relieves this pain.
I would rule out the gallbladder possibility, just thought I would put this out there just in case it helps.

Lymetoo, Tu Tu I need you 1You do think it is gallbladder symptoms? I had a friend with these same symptoms and she was dead in 2 weeks from liver cancer so I am a little nervous. I know you had your gallbladder removed. Mimi

I just ame across this thread when I did a search for pancreas and right side pain.
I had my gall bladder out in July 2007--never had a gall bladder "attack" before having the surgery, but I've been having intermittent pain in that area ever since. It starts in the upper right abdomen, wraps around to the back and shoots up to my shoulder.
The gastro has done blood tests, stool samples, CT scan of the abdomen, and found nothing. Last year they had done an u/s and found a dilated pancreatic duct. He followed up with an MRCP, which didn't show anything.
I won't see a LLMD for 2 months, but I'm wondering if this pain could be a symptom of Lyme or a co-infection?
