I am not sure how many of you out there have this. But a lot of people on here appear to be infected with bart and have good llmd's.
I have the Bart linear red/purple marks appear around my stomach and upper arms in October 2006 and still since that day i have the same marks although they have faded slightly (still red in colour) but still very noticeable.
Is this normally what happens, i hear some people say it comes and goes but mine has never gone but i havent been in remission in the whole time either. Does this mean that one day the marks will dissappear, they look to me to be permanent.
Interested in what people's experiences and llmd's have advised on this topic.
Thanks in advance for all your input.

Hey Jason...
I have heard from folks they they have faded... but don't recall hearing they totally disappeared. BUT... soon as I say that someone will pop in and say their's did.
I also wonder if how "bad" they are makes a difference? Mine were there a long time.. quite deep.. and have sort of faded but never gone away.
Sorry no "one answer fits all"... but hope that helps.

Thanks Tincup, sort of thought that would be the answer. Mine have faded and probably will continue to fade. If at the end of the day thats all i have to remind me of bartonella i will be a very happy boy!!

Has anyone else got any input on this from their llmd's or their experience. I have heard a lot of people say they have the bart marks, would be interested in hearing any experiences on this. Thanks!

Jason, did you see MichelleM's post yesterday, April 16, 2008 at 2:51 pm? It's about bartonella with some photos, two links to more photos, and a link to a videotaped medical presentation by a LLMD.
See two posts I made and one by Alv for links to these photos and information. Alv's link isn't underscored; you'll have to copy & paste it into the address window.

Thanks for the heads up, but i had read thru most of that post. I guess my question was does the bart rash ever go away?
Thanks

Yes, Dr. MF says these rashes fade with proper treatment.
They don't fade to silvery-white like a stretch mark. I think they completely fade away.
If you treat Bartonella only & it doesn't go away, then you probably have a mixed infection.
You may have a mixed infection with oneor more of the following agents. Mycoplasma, Lyme, Bartonella, or H. pylori...all can cause similar stria. Identify each pathogen and treat it or it won't go away.

I have had the bartonella rash for six months.
I started taking artemisinin and after about a week the rash faded in most places and even went away on my right thigh.
It didn't last though...it came back exactly as it was before.
My point is that it did go away completely in that small area and the rash was really dark to begin with.
I think if it went away at all then it suggests that it can go away.
