Well after 2 hard years of NON-STOP pills I was feeling so depressed/anxious/freaked out/ run down I said "Heck with everything" last Thursday.

Since then I have been almost symptom free. I don't understand what is going on.

I was previously taking Bicillin 2.4 1Xwk w augmentin, Minocycline, Azithromycin, Nystatin, armour thyroid, hydrocortisone, Testim cream, anti-biotic eyedrops, fishoils, daily vitamin, MSM and probably a couple of others that I had forgotten about.

I haven't taken a single pill for over a week now. I have been pretty much on anti-biotics of all kinds since 3/06. This is definitely the best I have felt in over 4 years.

I am not sure that this is the right thing to do or not, but if i continue to feel this way (my fingers are crossed) I will be very glad to say the least.

Any one have any similar outcomes or any ideas why this could be -- any advice?

Twice I had to take a break from meds and both times I felt better.

Then, the symptoms slowly started returning.

I think it's because all of a sudden you're not killing off bugs and you don't start having symptoms until the bacteria multiply a bit.

I don't think breaks are necessarily bad, but if you weren't symptom-free, I don't know that I'd consider myself cured.

If it's been over a week and you still feel good, you must have coinfections under control. [Smile]

Celebrate and brag if you are still fine after 3 more months.

Anybody can feel better a few days without meds.

Also, you are still protected by Bicillin 2.4 that stays in the body for about 4 weeks.

Yes, I often felt better when off the meds. Maybe since you were on them for two years, you are OK now.

Sometimes we get so toxic from the meds, we think that misery is from the Lyme.

Work on making sure you have no yeast. I would stay on the Nystatin for a few more months....if it were me.

I guess you didn't have babesia or bart?

Let's hope this lasts!!!!!!!!

Also...did you stop the hydrocortisone and thyroid meds suddenly?? That could be dangerous.

You need to taper them off.

the good news is u probly are free of coinfections. i get sick if i even go down on dose of doxy for a few days

as for lyme, unfortunately it does take longer to come back. but its more likely you killed the lyme if u r free of coinfections

If you start going down hill, you might want to consider a genetic test to find out if there are certain medications you will have difficulty detoxing because of polymorphisms on the genes. Genova labs has a test called DetoxiGenomics.

It's possible that some of your medications are making you toxic.

Pretend you are a sink full of dirty dish water.

As you kill off bacteria.. and they die... they gotta go somewhere.

If there are so many dead bacteria in your body (sink) that can't be drained off... and you are still putting in more bacteria killing agents and piling up the dead bacteria in your sink.. you will feel like a smouldering garbage truck on a hot summers day.

Once you stopped the meds your body had time to empty that sink full of dirty dish water... and now you are clean and pretty!

Feels great doesn't it?

ENJOY!!!!

You deserve it!!!
