hi,

i have had a sharp pain in my chest since yesterday evening.
it is on the left side of my chest and hurts more when i move, turn my neck, tilt my head back all the, way etc.

i just went to see the doctor and she said that my heart sounded fine. they did an ekg and it looked normal.

my main problem is bartonella.

is there something else i should be considering? i am worried.

the doctor thinks it might either be muscular or related to doxycycline?

currently i am on bactrim/doxy and zithromax (2X/week)

thanks for any help you can give...

Hi OConnor,

That's funny, or, not so funny....my chest pain was acting up yesterday too. All day and the day before.

For me it is chostochondritis. It is also nerve related. It feels very scary. The chostochondritis part is often sharp and shooting.

It could be costochondritis (chest arthritis/sternum) which might be the lyme.

I guess we're on the same wavelength. My left chest hurts and I get sharp stabbing pains from my waist to my shoulder.

Sometimes I think it's pancreas, other days I think it's stomach, now I don't know.

I think I'll have my heart checked out too. Can't hurt.

Mine was Babs related. Babs tx w/Mepron & it improved.

Try upping your magnesium.

I get the chest pain which is always worrisome when it is on the left side.

This is decreasing as well with babesia treatment.

I have had a nuclear stress test to be told my heart is "perfect".

I am not sure an EKG can always be the best indicator of what may or may not be

Going on with your heart. May want to pursue this just to be sure.

Hugs,

Geneal
