I've been using the search feature to try to get info on digestive enzymes. I can't keep the search up after I read a topic so I've typed in "digestive enzymes" like 30 times now. My brain and eyes can't take much more.
Can you guys make some recommendations on good quality full spectrum digestive enzymes? Do they come in a liquid or they all pills?
Can you take them before you eat, eat, and then take your ABX and other meds?
I am protein deficient and having horrible stomach pain. Someone suggested digestive enzymes. So far all I've found on the shelf of my local pharmacies are for lactose intolerance.
Thanks for the help.

I used to take Solaray's Super Digestive Enzymes. I think that's the name.
Now I take some my chiro/bio-cranial dr gives me.
I take them with meals. You can also take them a few minutes before you eat.
It should help!!!
Did you try ordering from Vitacost? They often have good name brands.... but they don't have Solaray.
EDITING to add .. It's Super Digestaway by Solaray.

Thanks - I want to by something tomorrow and my Mom called me and told me GNC carries something. Has anyone heard of/used this?

GNC should have something.

My son's integrative med doc recommended Enzalase from Therabiotics, the same people who make Theralac.
It's really helped his digestive process; the first few months he took one before every meal but now only once a day.

IMO the GNC supps are pretty cheap, poorly made stuff. All brands are not the same.
If you are in the Parkersburg area, there is a HFS named Mother Earth with some good stuff. The owner's wife is an RN and ND and she has a daughter that has had Lyme for about 20 years. The mom has some excellent protocols for Lyme and many other conditions, like autism, which some consider Lyme.

This brand is safe and has been around for years. Most digestive enzymes contain protease which is bad for most people with lyme who have random viruses. I take two capsules with a meal (one capsule with a snack) and my digestion has greatly improved. Before using this brand I used another kind that I got from a health food store and I have to tell you I had no idea the differnece it would make.
