Wish it had, however I suspect that films about disease do not appeal to people who give awards at festivals. These are people who are more into the profession of film than into the subjects they feature.

This film will get a real workout in real life, beyond the festival. That is where it will shine. Sorry for the producers that no award was given to them, but there were quite a few great actors and films who never got an oscar either.

I find I seldom like films that have won awards .... in fact, winning an award is many times a reason we don't go see a film .... they're usually some politically correct garbage rather than anything substantial or entertaining.

I just watched the trailer and cried. Bet the whole movie stunned those seeing at the film festival. If they know nothing about Lyme it would be a shocking topic.

If it's a new topic for most people they are overwhelmmed. Most people like a happy story with a happy ending. Most people think modern medicine can cure anything.

Most people blame the patient for continuing to be sick. Most people avoid you if you're not better in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, you should be cured!

How many times have you heard:

You don't look sick.
Well, you look good.
You just haven't found the right doctor.
You just haven't had the right test.

etc etc etc
