I LOVE IT!

Here is the ? Is there anything i need to be worried about with the cocoa? Is it ok to have? What effect does it have on yeast?

Please tell me its ok....i love it so.....

If it's just cocoa, no added sugar or artificial sweeteners, then it's good to go.

Cocoa is actually high in antioxidants. It's good for you. It's just that it is usually mixed with sugar, dairy and cocoa butter (high fat).

How about some pudding made of plain yogurt, cocoa powder, and stevia?

I get the little bottle of stevia sweetener drops at the health food store.

Now here's my fav. Do you know those little tiny battery operated milk frothers? I steam some soy milk, and throw in cocoa powder and stevia. Then I froth away. It's like chocolate whipped cream.

If I'm really jonzin', I mix tahini (sesame paste) with chocolate powder and Agave nectar and eat the goo like fudge.

Go for it.

Just a note, chocolate cravings can indicate a magnesium deficiency, and most lymies are magnesium deficient.

Harry Potter fans, professor Lupin had it right. It's the cure for having faced even the horror of our worst fears.

I think I'll have some now.

I also mix the cocoa in a little soy milk - make a paste - then add in more soy milk in a glass jar with a few drops of stevia and a touch of agave. Shake and you've got a shake.

sometimes I add (or substitute) roasted carob powder to it. carob is good to reduce endotoxins but it can be binding, so be sure to get enough fiber, etc.

Frontier has carob power for sale. It's hard to find even at my naturals foods grocery except for a little in the bulk container.

http://tinyurl.com/5e36c8 Organic carob powder 16 oz. is about $16. and will last a long time. Careful when you open it not to breathe the dust. The non-organic is half the price.

I always wondered the same thing, whether ot not it was ok or not .

But I love it too!
Try this:

ice , milk , cocoa, protein powder , and peanut butter!
( I use the healthy omega kind)

It's awesome and makes a great choc/peanut butter smoothie!

you can also used powdered cocoa &/or carob powder to add to a whipped tofu for a sort of mousse. I'd add the powder to a small amount of almond, rice or soy milk first so it does not clump.

Careful, of course with adding stevia so as to not overdue it. Like Bejoy, the clear liquid, SteviaClear is what I like best as it does not have the aftertaste of some powders.

Sometimes I may add a little agave, but that is a personal choice.
For those w/o candida issues, a little honey might work, too.

You can experiment with oils in the tofu mousse. Best is a hazelnut oil, but almond oil is good, too.

Careful when buying the tofu for this. Some contain gluten in a broad "food starch" label. Those would be the softer types.

I make hot chocolate for my son with cocoa, stevia and milk. I also started making him chocolate whey protein bars, he loves them, thinks it's candy.

He didn't like the shakes so much, so it's great that I can get him to eat the whey protein. [Wink]

So sorry to poop on the party, but cocao is not good for fatigued adrenals according to Wilson.

Make sure the Cocoa is NOT "Dutch Processed" or Alkali processed...like most cocoa sold in stores. Why? The process destroys the Flavinoids. Pure, unprocessed DARK cocoa powder is the best.

Enjoy...I do!
