My flares used to begin a day or so before Full Moon and then last a few days.
How ya doin'??

I had a wretched day today but feel much better now.
Is this full moon thing for real?

I'm sucking big tome today. I am at the end of my rope physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. I have been on a two month downhill slide and I don't know why!!! It doesn't matter what I do...tons of abx - still feel like crap. No abx. - still feel like crap. Losing my health has been like a death to me. I mourn the girl/woman I used to be...strong, healthy, carefree. I have had more than my fare share of struggles, but nothing, NOTHING compares to this. This is the one obstacle I can't seem to overcome. I resent what this disease has done to me...to my spirit. The loss of friends and even family that don't "get it". The loss of my mental "sharpness". The feeling that God has left me...that know matter how hard I pray, how much I cry out in desperation and pain, he doesn't seem to hear me. There is no escape from this...I look in the mirror and gone is the girl that once was there...and I wonder...will I ever get her back?

I always seem to get CRUSHED around the new moon.
I believe Bb has a 28 day replication cycle. (I don't know if it varies by strain, but mine seems to follow the 28 day cycle.)I think Bart might be 2 weeks? That could hit around both moons.
LymieLauren,
You express the feelings so eloquently.
Just remember- "This too shall pass".
It will, just keep Txing and YOU WILL have some good days.
Hopefully you can beat whatever co-infections & get the Lyme into remission. Then you can see that girl again.
I've had some great days when Tx was working, but I'm still fighting the co-infections. I'm looking forward to the day that I can get this all under control.
Unfortunately, I'm feeling the very same emotions that you are today. I can only hope that tomorrow will be a brighter day for both(all) of us!

AliG, Thank you for the reply, and the hope of better days to come. If I posted every day you would see that I'm not always like this.
I am most frequently hopeful and optimistic but occasionaly this stuff gets the best of me - I know you understand...it's a rollercoaster.
I do go back to my LLMD next Monday and he is going to start treating me for babesia, as I have several of the symptoms of that as well.
I am also taking the plunge in three weeks and purchasing a doug coil machine. I ordered the book by Bryan Rosner Saturday, so hopefully it will be here soon.
I'm so sorry you're having one of those days too. We will pull through this...one day at a time!

Yes! We used to have a member here who had the scientific explanation.
It was really good! But I can't remember it! We used to call each other "wolf girl!" get it?? Posted by Clarissa (Member # 4715) on :
Wow! Cool.

I am just glad my monthly friend was early (again-thanks Lyme)
And didn't coincide with the moon this month.
I would make a werewolf look good.
Hugs,
Geneal

I'm right there with you AliG. I flare on the new moon, and also have more difficulty sleeping.
To top it all off, the insomnia thing gets worse on the full moon too - so I'm getting zapped every 2 weeks!

Parasites and protozoa are more active during the full moon phase, supposedly.
