Sorry to hear that, Ms Bunny!! The complaint dept is over in General Support though!!

I don't know if this will help but consider looking into Red Root tincture. Bruhner recommends it to help clear the lymphatic system and last time I checked the spleen was a big part of that system.

Are you treating for babesia?
Maybe something to take a look at.
Hope you feel better soon.
Hugs,
Geneal

I am not being treated for babesia. I did not test positive the first go round.
Does anyone know if milk thistle will help this? I took that for awhile, but I honestly can't tell you if it helped.

Wow... Forget the test. If your spleen hurts, you need to ask your LLMD for a trial run of meds for babesia.
I'm pretty sure milk thistle works only for the liver.

Bunny, Where exactly IS this pain? I also have pain 5 inches or so up from my belly button and then over to the left.
It hurts so bad especially when I am fatigued-thought maybe it could be my spleen, but not sure where your spleen even is?
Is your pain constant or stabbing? Hmmm? Laura

Laura, That location sounds about right.

I used a product called "Spleen" from standard process. You have to get this from a naturopath or chiropractor or some professional that carries these products. It helped a great deal.
My chiropractor did some manual spleen drainage that helped as well.
I think lymph support products helped as well. I used Lymph Formula No. 2, also only available from a professional.
Sorry you are hurting. I went through several weeks of that kind of pain, and I know it's excruciating.

ralph:
thanks for the links! I drive past a naturopoath/suppliment place every day. I'll see what she has.
Laura:
my pain is on the left side, just under the bottom of my rib cage. It feels like a gas pain, almost, but it is constant. I have had this pain normally when my EBV levels get high. I have had this pain off and on for about 2 yrs.
Thanks to all that suggested babesia. I had not considered that, but will call my LLMD and ask. I just assumed it was EBV again.
I feel like a disgusting, infected mess! Posted by Alv (Member # 15192) on :
that was the most painful area for me in 2007 when I was a walking inflamation . FYI I have neuro and every co-infection.I have started treatment for bart and only some artemisin for babs... But my pain is gone finally. My chiropractic gave me homepathic formulas. But that used to change every week pending on what my body needed .She was using muscle testing!

Just out of curiosity...
Why is Babesia typically associated with spleen pain over Bartonella?
Posted by Carol in PA (Member # 5338) on :
The spleen filters out dead and damaged red blood cells.
Babesia damages the red blood cells.

Thank Carol
: )
So does babesia typically reside IN THE SPLEEN - or elsewhere and the dead RBC's are simply taken to the spleen to be filtered?
I hear babesia mostly resides in gut, spleen, liver

I don't think so.
Babesia parasites reproduce in red blood cells, where they can be seen as cross-shaped inclusions...and cause hemolytic anemia, quite similar to malaria.
Hemolytic anemia is anemia due to hemolysis, the abnormal breakdown of red blood cells.
Note that unlike the Plasmodium parasites that cause malaria, Babesia species lack an exo-erythrocytic phase, so the liver is usually not affected.
