Since lots of us have multiple chemical sesitivites or just want to reduce toxic overload, I wanted to share this site that reviews beauty products for toxicity...

Environmental Working Group's Cosmetic Safety Data Base

http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/

click on blue menu at top to find your products -there is also a search feature

I have found this site very helpful

I love this site too -- thank you for posting it.

By the way, it certainly doesn't hurt to use nontoxic products even if you don't have MCS. When I first got sick with CFIDS, I didn't have MCS. I met people with MCS and thought, "Wow, that must be awful for them!"

I didn't realize it could happen to me in a flash -- then it did.

Thank you for posting this.

A toxic substance (or medicine or remedy) we put on our skin gets into our brain much quicker than if we had it go through the digestive process. I had heard about the EWG, so this goes to my Favorites!

Take care.

Glad you found it helpful - it's a really great site - lots of surprises too - alot of products with "organic ingredients" still contain tons of chemicals!

This is a very useful site but I also review the ingredients before buying anything.

I noticed they rated some antipersperants 3 and 4 which concerns me somewhat.

I have used this site when purchasing all of my new cosmetics, lotions, etc. and as of today (my mineral eye liner came) I am totally toxin free on all my body products.

And the good news is I am spending less than what I was spending before - you don't have to spend a lot to get good quality products.
