help! I can't find my sheet with the neurotransmitter protocol.

I took it out and put it somewhere, and now I can't remember where.... (This is why I need the neurotransmitter treatment!)

[bonk]

I have:
- Neuro-lift
- L-tryptophan
- MSM

I just can't remember the dosages.

Could anyone send me the info?

Or I will call their office and ask them to send another copy...

thanks!!!

I assume this is a different Dr. C than the one that uses NutraMedix products.

Anyone who has trouble detoxing through the Cytochrome P-450 pathway should be very careful in considering - L-tryptophan.

Search PubMed on what it says about tryptophan and porphryia (the state of having too many toxic porphyrins as a result of the C P-450 detox pathway being overwhelmed).

Forms of tryptophan can cause problems in that situation as patients who have porphryia have altered tryptophan metabolism.

Now, it's not clear if this is just for the genetic porphyria's or also for the acquired, secondary or chronic forms which can occur during chronic infection and with a liver that is overwhelmed by detoxing.

It also might be that if the liver is adequately supported this might work okay.

You can read more here and then ask your doctor.

There's quite a bit of discussion about tryptophan, including one form, 5-HTP at this current thread:

Topic: Is 5HTP safe??

Thanks for the link on L-tryptophan, Keebler. I have been reading the other thread about it; lots of good info.

Scott, sorry for the confusion. Yes, it's Dr. C in MO.
