Are you referring to Wayne Dyer's "The Power of Intention"?

Well I didn't want to put his name down, because is more of a principle. I think is based on daosim.
If you don't mind sharing Julia, how long have you practice it?

All of those self help principles (Note I said principle and not rule) are crucial to success in whatever you're trying to willfully create.
Books of all sorts, like Conversations With God, The Power Of Now, Power of Intention, Think And Grow Rich etc.
If you do the work and actually believe in the possibilities that it will work -- which you should because it's a fact -- then you'll see the results will be extremely promising.
Doing the work vs not doing the work increases the probability that you "will" produce the results you're aiming for.
It's that simple.

I have tried this...The Secret, Abraham/Hicks, Louise Hay, Wayne Dwyer, ETC...
I was doing positive affirmations everyday and meditation.I think it helped me a little emotionally, but when you are sick and desperate to be well sometimes you belive anything. Like The Secret says you can affirm yourself healthy...I would have to disagree. I really felt mislead in a lot of ways by the secret....But I think I was just hoping too much that if I thought I would get well, than I would...Like the secret tells you.
I think these things helped me a little emotionally, but that was it. I than got too sick to even think about any of that and havent practiced it for a while.
I do think it is beneficial for positive thinking....

I use to find the tapes and CD's by Sanaya Roman helpful. You listen to them as you drift off to sleep. Her books are all very positive too.
The book Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting by Lynn Grabhorn I found life changing too.
