Can the Lyme spirochete ever get large enough to be visible with the naked eye?

Can IV Rocephin kill any other parasite that would show up in the stool and is visible to the naked eye?

This "thing" in the stool looks like a black segmented thread but is not moving. She has been tested a number of times for parasites over the years but all tests came back negative.

I just found out today that she has been seeing what I think are parasites since she started Rocephin 2 months ago.

Does anyone have an idea what these parasites might be; or even if they are parasites? It's as thick as a thread and approx. 1/2 to 3/4 inches in length.

My daughter had a pet rat for approximatly 2 years but it has been gone for 6 months.

We are calling the doctor tomorrow to determine our next steps.

Thanks very much. Paul

Thanks very much. I'll take a look into your suggestions. It's intersting that whatever it is the Rocephin seems to be killing it.

recent discussion about parasites:

Also standard parasite tests only check for a couple types of parasites..... and there are hundreds!

Lots of different ways to pick up parasites. Humaworm has an interesting web site
