I am recently new to the board, and I have started treatment with Amoxicillin 1000mg/3times per day following 3 weeks of doxycycline 200mg/day which did nothing for my symptoms.
Today is my 6th day on the stronger dose of ABX and since treatment I noticed my aches have become more severeand spreading to further areas of my body. My twitching has also increased quite a bit and I have been getting a mild "swooshing" sensation in my left ear.
Last night I woke up with some sweating around my head, neck and chest. I do not feel warm or have any indication of fever and my digestive system is normal.
My question to all of you people is:
Could my symptoms be getting worse due to another co-infection not targeted (say babesia)?
Or am I having "Herx" reaction? If so please describe to me what one feels with "herx."
I am trying to put heads on this thing while I await test results for co-infections.
I had 2 positive Elisa's and 2 indeterminate Western Blots in past 6 months, never had symptoms back then so doctors never treated me. What a mistake I made if so.
Any input is appreciated,

Hi Dave, Welcome, I found this on pg 2. It affects us all a bit differently.It also depends on the meds and the doseage.Its possible to have a co infection with Lyme.
Have you tried doing a search here on herxing?There is alot of info on it. Hope you feel better soon.

Worsening of symptoms, new symptoms, pain in areas you've never had before.
That is what my herxes are like. They also depend on what I am treating at the time.
I can have increased air hunger, balance issues, and night sweats while treating babesia.
There is so much overlap in symptoms from Lyme and co-infections.
Sometimes impossible to seperate what bacteria or parasite is causing which symptoms.
When I treated Lyme (initially) babesia symptoms came out.
Treated babesia and bartonella symptoms came out.
Treated babesia again and Lyme symptoms.
AAAARRRGGHHHH!
Best bet (for me anyways) is to systemmatically treat each one.
I am on my 3rd round of babesia treatment.
Did one run of bartonella treatment, but am probably going to have to do another.
While keeping Lyme in check, I know this is the last infection (I hope) to treat.
If you have co-infections such as babesia, and you don't treat them,
You will not get rid of Lyme (according to my LLMD).
Hang in there. It is a bumpy ride.
It's not a sprint so pace yourself for a marathon.
