I asked my doctor to run an Igenex WB test last week. She called yesterday and said it was positive.

I have it in front of me today. It is a Quest test. It is actually positive for bands 18 & 41.

She prescribed 3 weeks of Doxycycline and I figured I'd wait until I saw the LLMD to get her blessing. I am now seeing the LLMD in two weeks.

Since this isn't the WB by Igenex, should I wait to start the Doxy or start taking it now?

The fact that I came up at all on a Quest test, does that mean my Lyme is pretty bad or is it a fluke?

Very overwhelmed as you can probably tell by all of this new news hitting me and trying to make sense of it all.

If you're wanting an Igenex test when you get to your LLMD, then I would wait. You should be off abx for 2 wks prior to the test for best results.

You're not RECENTLY infected, are you?

Many here had one or two bands show up on the Quest test.

You may have several additional bands on the Igenex test.

editing to add.. I just found your first post and you said you've been ill for 1.5 yrs. Then no worries about waiting to begin treatment.
