I started B12 shots last week and havent felt this good in a LONG time. I have been able to get out of the house everyday and even go to a couple of parties with my friends. My legs are no longer unbearably heavy and the sick feeling flu feeling is better. I have so much energy and even my brain fog is much better. I suggest anyone who hasn't tried B12 should give it a "shot" since it helped me immensely.

Are B12 shots expensive? My Dr said my B12 blood results really sucked (even though they were within the "normal limits") and gave me a prescription for Cerefolin tablets..that my insurance didn't cover (fifty freakin bucks for a month of B12!!!)
I have only been taking them for the last few days and haven't noticed anything. That might be because my Zith was upped and I feel like total crap though.
Does insurance cover B12 shots? How much does it cost? Thanks

I posted something similar before.
I take sublingual b12. My LLMD made me pay for the shots and they didnt help as much.

My insurance pays for the compounded prescription (methylcobalamin) my LLMD ordered. It is 75.00 every month. I have to pay for the shipping and handling. It comes from The prescription Center out of La Crosse, WI.
If I miss a day, I know it! it has done wonders! I inject every morning .2ml

Yes some people dont feel much different while on them but my B12 levels were very low so maybe that is why they are helping me a lot. Some insurance co cover them and others dont. Mine were 50 dollars for a month. I take them 5 days a week.

If you buy the cheaper cyanocobalamin, it's a lot less. My copay is $10 for 30 doses.
Just stopped by to ask, do you have to have a script for syringes? I've never had to have one, but I went to a new pharmacy to get some this morning and they told me i had to have a script!!!
Anybody know if the laws changed, or does it vary from pharmacy to pharmacy?

too, it varies........I was shocked the first time Dr. C gave me a script for the syringes. He was equally surprised that I didn't need the script...........lol.
I am using 27g needles subcu now; man is that wonderful!

OK... I may call Wal Mart or Walgreen's to make sure. With the gas prices as they are, I don't want to waste gas finding out!!
I've always bought them at the above places with no problems...and no script.
