have a young friend who has some condition called "Collagenous Gastritis".

Does anyone know of any link with this and Lyme or its coinfections?

Thanks!

Casey,

Did a quick read up. Seems very rare but one article seemed to connect it possibly to celiac. Hopefully, she's trying a gluten free diet to see if it helps.

Another thought and I'm going out on a branch here, but when I hear about collagen disorders whether it's in the intestines or other parts of the body it makes me think of scleroderma which they think might be caused by mycoplasma.

Many people at www.roadback.org with scleroderma are successfully treating with minocycline. Minocycline can't be any harder on the intestines than the prednisone they're probably prescribing your friend.
