by Sherry Rogers?

It was described in a packet from my LLMD and I am wondering if I could get some feedback.

No, but if you're talking about the nightshade effect on pain, I'M A BELIEVER!!!

I won't go any further until I'm sure that's what the book is about.

Yes, that is the main principle. I have a handout but I was wondering if I should go for the whole read.

Any insight?

Yeah, I hope someone here has read it and can tell us if it's worth the $$$$!

I have been eating potatoes/sweet potatoes lately and finally went DUH!!! No wonder I've had more pain!! It was getting BAD!

I wasn't even eating them everyday.

Now I'm back on track and feeling better!!! WOW! It shocked me that it makes that much difference.

I now officially have nothing left to eat.... [Roll Eyes]

I was wondering what you do eat Lymetoo? You've said no gluten, dairy, nightshades, soy, sugar and so much else. [Frown]

I avoid a lot of crap too

but I work at a really good health food store and now my options are endless. : )

If you look up the book on Amazon there are 8 positive (5 star) reviews and 2 negative (2 star) reviews. You can get a lot of information from those reviews.

IMO, you can find all the info on nightshades that you would need to avoid them on the internet and that buying the book to read the theory would be a waste of money.

I know. It's really bad right now. I eat proteins and vegetables. I AM eating sweet potatoes. That's been a lifesaver for me. They contain HALF the amount of carbs that white potatoes do .. and they are not a nightshade.

Pretty boring diet... but necessary.

Aren't red potatoes ok too?

avocados with garlic (guacamole dip) with blue - gluten free chips.

hummus with garlic/onion

spinach with sunflower oil, garlic, artichoke hearts and hummus (also blue chips)

gluten free crackers with almond butter

gluten free toast with coconut oil

salads with chicken, and a home made blueberry/apple cider vinegar dressing

eggs: boiled and scrambled

Sherry Rogers has authored many excellent books. I would read everything she writes as so much relates to anyone with chronic infection. Of course, not everything might, but so much does. She is very vocal about heavy metal detox and clean eating.

If your LLMD suggests reading it: Read it as soon as you can. ANYTHING that your LLMD suggests reading will only help you better understand his philosophy and clear the table regarding what you can do for yourself, too.

Remember that your local lyme support group, local CFS support groups and the library all may have copies to loan.

I would also look at all of her books, especially "Detoxify or Die" as it is loaded with good detail. You can read customer reviews for these two books at the links:
