Hi
I am very sick and have been for yrs. I'm trying to find out as much info as i can, but its scaring the daylights out of me [Frown]

I did have a western blot done and on the IgM bands 31 and 41 were labeled IND.. I was told this wasn't significant, now i'm reading it is??

on the IgG western blot band 41 showed a +. But it says there has to be at least 5 showing + for it to be an overall positive?

Both these tests were done at an IGeneX Lab. I have found a dr here in AZ to call to repeat the tests.

I'm having alot of pain, confusion, swelling in leg/foot neuropathy pain, chronic fatigue, and now they tell me i have fibromyalgia too. This is all very scary to me

I'm so glad i found this site.. thanks for all the great info. if i understand correctly, then if the 41 is a + you have this illness?

thanks and god bless you all!

Leigh

I don't know a lot about results. But I can try to help.

I know Dr C in MO says that if an IND shows up then band is still significant.

You will (or should) go ahead and find an LLMD soon and be treated. Betty can provide you with a newbie package. Great stuff!

I am not sure repeating the tests will help.

If you have 31 IND, 41 IND, and symptoms then that should be enough.

You do not need 5 different + to satisfy a positive or treatment.

Many people on here will tell you that.

Also, more educated people should come along soon and help you out more.

Great job for reading other posts. Education is a great thing! Best of luck.

Band 41 is not specific to Lyme Disease, it can be other bacteria. It is the first to show up with Lyme.

Band 31 is very significant as it will only show up with Lyme.

I posted on your other thread too. [Smile]

I would find an LLMD near you so you can get a proper diagnosis.
