Has anyone had to wait this long for test results from IgeneX?
At first I was told 2 weeks, now they say it might take 3 weeks.

Our took a little over two. They were much more busy because of summer. I know the wait seems forever when it is related to your health. Good luck.

The doctor I went to took 3 months to let me know my test results were positive.
He had the test back in 2 weeks.
I had left messages with his office staff, had written, etc.
It finally took a friend of his to let him know I was not getting answers from his office.
I was not well enough to drive the 2 hours or so to his office.
He was not an LLMD.
Just knew enought to use Igenex Lab and the symptoms.
It is only a piece of the puzzle. Lyme is a clinical dx.
You might need to make an appointment to get the results.
Don't know what you situation is.
Hopefully you are dealing with a LLMD.
After I had gotten a copy of the test results and done my own research on how to read them...
I went to a new primary doctor who said he knew all about lyme as he was from the East Coast and an Ivy league doc.
When I showed him the test results he did not know how to read them and was more concerned about me taking more than a few days of antibiotics than helping me get well.

Thanks everyone. I guess I have to be patient. I hope my sample didnt go stale!!
Was everyone here on abx at the time of testing? Just curious.

Sorry you are having to wait. I'm waiting for a test result that has taken 2 months so I know how you feel. It is not for lyme but something else that is holding up treatment. Very upsetting.
I was on abx when taking IgeneX tests and my LLMD is very knowledgeable so I've no doubt that he knows what he is doing.
I hope you get your results soon.

Hi Terry,
Thank you for your concern. I can't imagine waiting 2 months!
If my Igenex test comes out negative, I will be very perplexed and may question my treatment. I dont really want to be on long term antibiotics if I dont really have lyme.
Hope your waiting comes to an end soon. Good luck. Posted by kam (Member # 3410) on :
Listened to a speaker from IGenex and they said that they even miss a certan percentage of people with the testing who have TBD's but it did not show up.
Lyme is a clinical dx.

I'm on the east coast and Igenex is on the west and mine took just a day or two over the two weeks. But this was 19 months ago and with more and more cases out there, they may be getting more overwhelmed.
