Keep in mind this post is being written by someone who just yesterday was cleaning out the lower kitchen cabinets and while bending over and wedged inside the open door to reach the back cabinet wall with a sponge...

Stretched upward while inside the cabinet and got her hair caught in the drawer hardware up above. DUH!

Anyhow...

I got to thinking about all the people who contribute their time here to help others. If they were to be paid a dollar a post... and many posts are worth MUCH more than that to those needing help...

Just think what you all have accomplished.

On this board alone.. LymeNet members would have donated over 1/2 MILLION dollars worth of time and information to people who are sick.

That, to me, is amazing!

And here I thought I was just a nut addicted to this site. We really are helping each other and I'd be lost without this place.

I've been meaning to say - congrats on becoming a grandma soon.

I have 5 grandkids myself - hence the name NanaDubo - one of them came up with it.

I know for me personally, when I have questions or am hitting my lows, this board has been amazing. Then when we are feeling stronger, we can share our experiences with others as they are going through what I needed help with as well.

It's definitely a "pay it forward" kind of situation. I just didn't know it was going to be so many ups and downs. I honestly thought I had this almost licked for awhile, but then wham, so it's a lot of give and take here.

Sadly, I think I'm still in the "more taking" mode and hopefully can get back on track and do more "giving".

I have been helped so much by you all.

The truth is 7 months ago when I first got sick .I was so sick I wanted to die.

I have 4 children ranging from 4-16. I truely needed help and no one believed me.

With that being said the help that is being posted is saving lives and families. There is no payment better than that.

I hope that I could do the same too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me hope and the best advice. thanks Teresa

I'm on the quieter side but read everything daily and post when I feel I have something to share.

Been here for 6+ months; been with a supportive GP all this time but found an LLMD via this site this week (and am so happy with his knowledge!).

What's this site worth? A lot. It's worth what you get out of it - what you FILTER, what makes sense to you, what you research on your own.

We all still need to do our own research, analyze what we read and decide what makes sense for us.

But this site is unity. We are all in this together. We are just the smart ones who know what we're dealing with. And we're trying to spread the word (...fast) so no one needs to suffer at the mercy of the political medical community when it comes to Lyme and TBDs.

My two pennies.
