I experience an extremely minor and infrequent pulsing pain in my joints. Its barely noticeable and I don't consider it an issue.
I do have other neurological symptoms such as tremors, muscle twitching and poor coordination.
My story in short is that I had late stage Lyme (had the Bells Palsy) in the early 90's and have had problems ever since.
My question is is it possible for my sysmptoms to be a result of persistent Lyme infection without serious pain?
Anyone have a positive test or definitve diagnosis and not experience serious pain?

i have more nerve pain and muscles tightness and stiffness right now. in 05 when this started i had severe pain.
My illness was more nuerological and still is for the most part, i think even the stiffness has a neuro component.

My body is not in pain. In the beginning 15 yeasr ago, yes, pain was an issue.
Late stage now and my body feels great! No pain issues. Just headaches, zaps, pricklies, anxiety, eye focusing problems, head sensations.
My body feels awesome, but I am disabled by my head.
So, yes, you can have TBI's just messing w/your CNS and brain w/o body, muscle, joint pain.

Oh! Oh! Just saw the bottom of your post. 6 weks of doxy for late stage lyme will not be effective.
No wonder you have lingering neuro symptoms...Likes to reside in the brain at the late stage.

I believe it is possible to have lyme without severe pain.
I get some muscle achiness or joint stiffness from time to time, but nothing that I would even think to take something for.
My day to day symptoms all lie in other areas.

Ditto to Feelfit's post. Worst symptoms are more "brain stuff" i.e. anxiety, depression, feelings of doom. Some occasional numbing/tingling of limbs or vibrating head but no real PHYSICAL pain, per se.
Might I add that, at times, I'm not sure which is worse: physical or mental pain. Trust me, they run a very close race! Posted by Annxyz (Member # 9097) on :
After two years of self treating with ABX ( Texas ) I have very little pain ! However , I still struggle with fatigue from Hell , NMH , and feeling intensely fuish ALWAYS .
I am grateful to have no pain most of the time, just wish I could function without simple things seeming like such a challenge with fatigue.

I'm not in pain either, but sometimes I get bad headaches and my joints hurt. Also I have neurological lyme and I always feel dizzy and I feel like I loose my balance and I feel like I'm cross-eyed sometimes(and I'm not). It feels like I can't focus.Anyone else? No pain for me, just neuro lyme; well, and occasional spot pains in a jaw or a rib; and hand arthritis if i take immune-boosters and don't take Quercitin. As feelfit said, you are essentially untreated.
