Ok, I know Ive been asking some dumb questions that most lyme experts already know...but hey, thats what a forum is for, right?.. especially till I can see my LLMD in 19 days (yes, I am eagerly counting down the days..)
Anyway,
If a person without lyme were to take doxy, what would it do? Other then the normal med reactions of nausea, sun sensitivity, would it given them odd symptoms?
I guess Im just reassuring myself that all of these increases of odd symptoms are all doxy/herx related...thus proving that I've got lyme.
...you know its sad...but all it would take is one, just one positive test (which I plan on asking for with my LLMD), and mentally I could stomache the lyme fight. Its just hard to keep a smile on my face when I feel miserable, and Ive yet to get a positive lyme test result. ..sorry to whine..
Anyway, ...doxy normal vs doxy lyme?

Hey! I think that if you take Doxy and you don't have lyme(which everyone has)
it wouldn't hurt you. I asked my Dr. before if someone thinks they have Lyme what should they do, and he said the should treat with antibiotics .It
won't do anything, unless I think it's a high powered med.

Well from my own experience prior to Lyme, I had taken several abx throughout life and NONE EVER caused "symptoms" they simply made me feel better within days.
Now w/Lyme abx create pain, increased symptoms, old symptoms, new symptoms and on and on.

That was kind of my experience, which is why I was so curious. In the past, Id take an abx and feel better in days.
But now its like an ebb and flow of old and new symptoms, and stronger then usual. After a while, I simply blame every ache, pain, twinge, shake, hot, cold, nausea, etc, on the doxy/lyme combo.
It almost seems as though, if you're feeling sick, you must be getting better, which is counterintuitive of typical sickness and abx.

I was told by a top LLMD that one of the best tests for Lyme infection is to take abx for 20-30 days. If you get sick, or sicker you either have Lyme or something similar that we have not yet discovered.
If you take doxy and dont have lyme, nothing should happen other than your complexion should clean up, and you might have a mild stomach discomfort.
