Has anyone heard of the Bradford protocol?

The way I understand it, natural combo's of various things are given through 8- IV treatments to erradicate yeast, lyme, co-infections, metals and more. I guess they do this in Mexico and it is now being done in the states as well by a few LLMd's.

I have a friend w/Lyme who was very sick, she gave up on abx and did these treatments and feels great. She had them done in the last month or so and said she is pain free and living life again.

I can only find limited info on this and I don't know what long term outcome is.

Has anyone else heard of this or tried it? Does anyone know long term if this is as great as it sounds?

I think he was the author of "The Biochemistry of Lyme" in the Townsend Letter a few years ago.

If so, some very good information. Although - he discusses using bismuth - that can be toxic and even fatal. One woman in Kansas died from IV bismuth treatment for lyme in 2006.

My only criticism of the article was the suggestion of bismuth without further detail to its danger. Other than that, he had excellent descriptions of the toxicity of borrelia and the effects.

I wish the article could be edited to remove that and save the other information that is so well presented.

my computer file is all out of order (I have no idea how that happened) but you can google the title and add Townsend and it should pop up.

saw this guy in May07. my AK Dr referred me to him. he was the first to say i had Lyme and Fungus issues.

he looked at my blood thru telescope and wrote up Tx plan for Mexico.. package was 10K. i was skeptical.

looking back now.. he was dead on. all my ducks shot him down and said he was on QuackWatch.

i was confused, sick and really had no one to turn to (pre LymeNet) and decided to seek Tx in the US.

BMIC got weird when my social worker requested an invoice prior to payment being issued.

could not get them to write a letter stating their findings either.

Dr Bradford (phd) was uneasy with my questions.. wasn't sure if i could trust him (i knew very little about Lyme then and needed my questions answered).

i posted on this subject months ago (http://tinyurl.com/5hwtjs).. hope this helps.
