Racking my poor little brain as to what may be causing muscle tightness and cramping.
This seems to be isolated to my legs.
Achilles tendon, hamstrings, calf muscles.
They feel tight. Real tight.
Taking potassium supplement, magnesium, etc.
Drinking lots of water.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Kind of weird to have this all of a sudden.
The potassium supplement is prescribed due to being on florinef.
Any thoughts would be really appreciated.
I can't have my cabana boys rub my legs.....they are visiting elsewhere right now.
Hugs,
Geneal

Many of us have this issue. Read the post dated june 8th and do a search for muscle pain, hamstrings, tightness etc. and you can read more.
It is a horrible feeling, one of my worst symptoms by far is the pain i feel in my hamstrings, thighs and groin. It can almost be disabling at times.
I am finding physical therapy which includes plenty of stretching, bike riding and moderate stength training to be very beneficial in resolving this symptom.
You may try to give it a shot but start very lightly. If you do any aerobics, be sure to drink plentyu of water to stay hydrated and flush your body.
Get well,
Dave

dg- i have this in all the muscles you describe.
my groin can be the worst at times. My muscles get tighter as I walk like i have big rubber bands wrapped around them.
stretching does help. If Im going to do any walking i must stretch before and after.
I also found physical therapy to help.
Geneal-im not sure why you would have this all of a sudden. Can you call your dr? Maybe you need to get your potassium level checked?

This is my worst symptom when I am taking a break from my meds. Right now, I am not comfortable sitting for more than a few minutes at a time; back of thighs so sore. Then when I try to stand for a while, the rest of my muscles in my legs start burning. Can't win.
When I'm on my meds, it goes away. Ten more days of suffering off meds left!

Thanks you guys.
Just when you think you've had every symptom you could possibly have.....
Sorry for posting without searching the topic.
My brain is in La-la land right now.

I found massage helped some but cold lazer really releived the tight muscles. It was such a relief.

What is cold lazer? I'm desperate.
Posted by sunshinyday (Member # 14337) on :
Cold Lazer is a FDA approved treatment which uses frequencies. It is a light therapy which is very gentle. It is also known as lllt. Some Drs and Chiropractors use it. It can detect what frequencies are present and treat. It works on the same frequencies as rife.
I also do an ionic foot bath afterwards to help with the detox.
Feel free to PM me.

Try a nice warm Epsom Salt bath?
Any new meds lately?
Posted by Geneal (Member # 10375) on :
I've done cold laser treatment to stop smoking.
Really neat.
No new meds.....just same old mepron/biaxin combo.
May need to up my potassium intake as I have been outside sweating a lot.
Could be a contributor along with the florinef.
The other thing I have going on is an acne like break out on my chin.
Maybe a release of too many toxins at one time...
Also have been having kind of extreme reactions to mosquito bites (they bite through the deet).
Bites are itching for days and forming lumps under my skin.
Maybe my immune system is over-reacting trying to hit anything it can.
(Since it isn't hitting the babesia )
Thanks again for all of your suggestions and replies.
Hugs,
Geneal

Hey Miss G,
My first thought was Babesia.
One of my worst Babs symptoms is very painful muscle cramping. Usually in my feet and calves and usually in the middle of the night.
Is it herxing time perhaps?
Posted by AliG (Member # 9734) on :
Try drinking "smartwater" when you sweat a lot, it has electrolytes but no sugar/flavoring.
As for the mosquitoes, try picking up some lavender aromatherapy body spray at the health food store. It really works for us and it's pretty much the only smell that doesn't make me sick (added bonus).
Calcium with the magnesium before bed & away from ABX?
Posted by Geneal (Member # 10375) on :
Oops I am bad....Just magnesium with b-6. What my LLMD tells me to take (and sells).
Maybe some calcium will help.
I do have some of those stored (I think) still in the old house.
I am not even close to finish with the moving.
And yes Ms. Melanie....I could be herxing.
With babesia (for me) there is no rhyme or rhythm to the herxing cycle.
I can have a few good days then Bam!
Although I did have night sweats last week for the first time in over 5 weeks.
I love lavender. I use it in my bath.
Would love to wear it all the time.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I do so appreciate them.

Are you, by any chance, doing a lot of bending & picking up boxes & stuff that you might not normally be doing? Lots of extra walking around, perhaps?

Thank God for all of you.
