Anyone else have the sensation that bugs are biting you (stinging sensations)all over your body? Could it be associated with Bartonella?

I get that but not ALL over and not every day either.

It feels like really fast bites/itches, even though nothing is there and nothing bit me at all. It's funny because for me, it's such a surprise and it hurts slightly, that when it happens I say "Ow" a little too loud.

Yes...I have the same situation. My bite like stings happen in cycles or spells

I also get bitten by nothing. Still slap at them though to try and make them stay away [Big Grin]

It is not all of the time, but periodically it feels like there is a beehive in my house somewhere.

Not that troublesome for me.

Hi there -

That was one of my first symptoms before diagnosis. Dr. B diagnosed me with Lyme and Bartonella. I would guess Bart.

Thanks for that "Bart" validation. This has been happening since I was bitten by a tickon my left hand which left a pustule. It was very itchy and stayed around for about a week. Then...I got swollen lymph nodes in my neck...on my left side. I couldn't straighten up my neck for 3 days. That part is now gone and now I have this stinging /biting sensation. I can deal with it also...as another poster said but I am just trying to pin down a diagnosis. My blood was sent off to Fry Labs yesterday. Should be interesting. Thanks so much for responding

Sounds like it could be neuropathy. Have you noticed any changes with the sensations?

I got the sensation of being stung by bees all over my body while on Rifampin for Bartonella. When I told me LLMD, he said, "oh, yeah, Bartonella." The sensations came and went fairly quickly, thank goodness, and have not come back.

Should be interesting to see your blood results. I am having my doc check me for Barts too.
I have told several docs for several years about my neuropathies.

I have this too. Mainly in my right side. Especially the right leg. It will get cold patches and then the goose bumps. When it does that I feel like I am beeing stung by a thousand bees. Then my skin is VERY sensative as well. It actually hurts to the touch. I tell them that but they look at me and just tell me it's the Fibro.

Fibro my a**! [Mad] I've had seven EMGS but they said there were no nerve intrapments. I told them that didn't mean there was not nerve irritation or neuropathy. [Roll Eyes]
My pain doc even said that.

It certainly is frustrating trying to convey to regular docs what we have to deal with. It's weird...ever since I have been bitten by the tick that I think had bart...I've had different symptoms almost every day. It appears that the biting stinging stuff has stopped. Who knows. The whole lyme/coinfection issue and the extraordinary stuff it's all doing is just TOO BIZARRE to be the normal evolution of bugs. Younger people probably don't have anything to compare to and must think that all these people being sick...is normal. I think I ranted about this once before...sorry :-)
