Hey there,

I have a doug coil machine and when I use it I stick with one frequency. I can't pre-program it, and the coil gets pretty hot, pretty fast.

So, I constantly here that you should do "sweeps", not use just one frequency, etc.

I also think it would be difficult (for me) to get up in the middle of a session to put in another frequency (it isn't all that easy to work).

I guess I am looking for advice-

Do I need a different machine capable of doing sweeps?

How many frequencies are really necessary- is focusing on one at a time (my sessions are 10-15 minutes) enough?

I am considering buying another coil, so I can switch coils during a session when the one gets too hot. However, I still wouldn't be able to get a ton of frequencies out of it.

What other machines would you recommend for sweeps that are effective? Of course, I would rather not have to buy another machine, but I know a lot of rifers have more than one.

Also, for those of you with a doug coil- what frequencies do you find very effective? i use 306 and 432 for lyme, need to branch out more I think.

Thanks

Hello,

I've been using my Doug machine for about 15 months. I usually use three frequencies each time, about 8 minutes each, because that's how long it takes for the coil to get hot. I run a little more power on the coil than normal I guess. I let the coil cool off for an hour, then do the next frequency.

432 is one of the best, and I use 555 and 632 also. After I'd been using it for almost a year, Doug told me to use 655, but warned me it would give me dark bloody stools. It took almost two weeks to produce a herx, but he was right. 655 really started killing the Lyme in my digestive system. The other frequencies hadn't done the job completely.

Using a few single frequencies each time should work just fine for a long time. When you feel better and want to eliminate the last of them, then I think using sweeps is a good idea. Don't worry about it until then. Others may have a different opinion, but it's worked for me.

I've just recently started to feel better between herxes. I've had lyme for 18 years and had all kinds of problems with it, so I must have been really loaded with the little critters.

Good luck.

sorry- i missed these responses somehow.

metallic- i am in that yahoo rife group. thanks.

chubby- i can't do sweeps on mine- i don't think i can. or maybe i should ask how to do it?

how often do you use your coil machine?

i am also going to purchase an EMEM machine and alternate between the two of them.

thanks for any suggestions regarding the doug coil or rifing in general-

I use my Doug machine every two to three weeks, depending on how long it takes to get over the herx from the previous use. I tried using it once while I was still in a herx. I won't do that again.

Do you have an instruction book for your signal generator that runs the Doug machine? It should tell you if it will do sweeps. If it doesn't mention it, it must not support that function.

My signal generator has an input jack that allows changing the output frequency by inputing a voltage on that jack. I hook a second signal generator to it to make it sweep. That jack is labeled "VCG IN".

Like I said, don't worry about it much. Several single frequencies work fine for each treatment.

I have the EMEM3D2, great machine. I'm eventually going to probably get a Doug Coil machine but I'm having someone build it for me.

Have you read Bryan's book Maureen?

You can buy fan cooled coils from this manufacturer. http://www.coilmachines.com/ They may also be available else where. I do not know what kind of run times this would allow, since I do not have a coil machine.

DB,
What are you using right now? The GB4000? How is that going still?

We are using the EMX from Rifelabs. I also have used it with my GB-4000 to run multiple frequencies in audio mode.

Last time I tried this the GB produced errors on the LCD display. I may have to have it repaired.

Right now we are just using the EMX with the simple signal generator that comes with it. It works as well as the GB so far, even though we are using just a few single frequencies. It is nice not to have to hold contacts.

My wife's status is the same as it has been. She is well most of the time. When the joint pain starts to come back we treat and it goes away. Some times it takes a couple of days for the symptoms to reside. This is the only symptom she has, but it is a persistant one.

Still have not found the magic bullet to totally eliminate the disease, but it is under control.

I've been using the EMEM5a for 3 years in Oct. Diligent and routine use has for the most part brought me to a higher level of wellness.

Right now however, I am having an acute flare-up which started over a month ago.

A few days ago, I decided I'd do my own test and used the 432 number exclusively. I'm having a huge herx to the point of horrible, debilitating, though episodic pain in my jaw, teeth and glands.

The pain is wave-like almost, welling up for no apparent reason OR anytime I eat something.

I have been to the local duck and dentist and they see "nothing" wrong by x-ray or lab. I'm am on Augmentin.

So, my conclusion is that it is a colony "awakening".

I also wonder if the sunshine/vit. D has caused a "stirring".

All I know is that this pain is horrendous.

I'm going to the pain clinic this afternoon.
I still believe in frequency devices for eradication. I've got a partial Doug, waiting to get the amplifier and I will start using that soon.

I'm also going to start Rifampin after this.

After 3 years on the EMEM, I think it's time for a change.

no, my doug coil doesn't do sweeps- i didn't order it from coilmachines.com. someone else made it for me.

i'll just do a single frequency at a time on it. The last few times I used it i didn't herx at all, but maybe because I am still on abx.

I am looking forward to getting my EMEM machine.

For those of you rifing- what frequencies do you find most effective?

thanks

306 or the harmonic of 612 works well for my wife. 612 seems to work better for some unknown reason. It is one of the best frequencies we have used.

thanks- i'll try 612 and i think 484 next.

the only thing i don't like about the coil machine is that it is a pain to switch frequencies, so i end up just doing one frequency when i use it.

i would love to do sweeps, but i can't with the coil machine.
